2013 Brochure Launch & Meet the Team Event

After months of hand-picking our favourite resorts, best for luxury, added value, personalised service, spectacular views and more, we hosted our 2013 brochure launch! This was also a fantastic opportunity to invite our esteemed travel agent colleagues, with whom we get to speak to regularly on the phone, but this was a time to put names to faces.

The launch was celebrating our new Worldwide Family Holidays, Luxury India and Beaches & Retreats brochures. We had posters made of our covers, which was a brilliant way to showcase our black and white inspirational imagery!

Raj Kumar, Director, Matthew Rushbrooke, General Manager and Paul Mellon, Trade Sales Manager (South) welcomed our guests with speeches about our progress, exciting updates and hopes for the future. The evening started with prosecco, followed with delicious canapes including Thai green curry, fish & chips, mushroom risotto and bangers & mash!

Charity Bike Ride, 900 Miles, 5 Days & Extreme Weather

On 20th September 2012, Western & Orientals’ David Pointer set off on his cycle from John O’Groats to Lands End. He cycled over 900 miles in 5 days in the name of raising money for MacMillan Cancer Care, and endured extreme weather conditions, pain, rode past some of Britain’s beautiful cycle routes, saw a comet disintegrating in the in the sky and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! We followed him on his journey on an earlier blog and seeing as pictures tell a thousand words, and we’ve put together a comic strip to showcase David’s hard work and commitment to raising money for a good cause. Malaysia Airlines adds new Airbus 330-300 to its fleet

On 14^th April 2011, Malaysian Airlines (MAS) were delighted to introduce its new A330-300s aircraft into its worldwide fleet, five months after the delivery. The new stylish wide body A330-300 aircraft provide a total capacity of 283 seats with 36 seats in business class and 247 seats in economy class and a first class experience for every passenger.

Malaysian Airlines will offer passengers a five star journey throughout their flight experience, from the point which tickets are booked, to checking in and collecting your luggage. With a high quality service from the beginning to the end of the journey with Malaysian Airlines, you are sure to be put at travel ease.

The newly designed business class cabins now have comfortable angled laying flat seats with wider legroom, six-way adjustable headrests and fold-out privacy dividers, to bring comfort to passengers looking to unwind on their flight or work in their very own mini office.

The stylish economy class cabins feature slim design seats providing extra legroom and four-way headrests to keep passengers comfortable on their flights.

Malaysian Airlines have also introduced access to an AC power supply and USB adaptor to every business and economy class seat. The new cabins are fitted with LED lighting, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and travel experience for passengers.

The new fleet will be used in routes to the Far East, South Asia, North Asia, the Middle East, Australia and China. Western & Oriental Travel have some fantastic offers for holidays booked with Malaysian Airlines and excellent savings for the Malaysian Airlines seat sale in April 2011.
