Cayo Levisa

Cayo Levisa is located off the north-west coast of Cuba, accessed by a 2.5 hour drive from Havana to Palma Rubia followed by a pleasant 30 minute ferry ride to the islands pier.

This peaceful island is protected to ensure the natural beauty is unaffected by mass tourism. One side of the island is covered in wild mangroves whilst the other side boasts long stretches of powder soft white sand facing the Gulf Of Mexico.

The island only has one low key hotel popular with those seeking a true getaway from it all retreat, ideal for honeymooners and couples and especially popular with Italian holiday makers.

The island boasts 23 dive sites on it’s doorstep and features it’s own dive centre. Cayo Levisa makes the perfect end to a Cuba self drive holiday or a guided tour, or for those that wish to visit Havana and prefer a quiet Cuban beach holiday rather than the larger all inclusive hotels offered in Varadero and Cayo Coco.

To plan your Cayo Levisa holiday, call our Cuba specialists today for more information.

Cuba is a spectacular country, with beautiful and very warm loving people. Travel here not only requires a passport, money and a good rucksack; it also requires flexibility, creativity, good humour, patience and a healthy sense of adventure. Cuba remains an easy country to travel to and within and since Raúl Castro took office in February 2008, he has allowed Cubans access to cell phones and entry into tourist hotels, meaning interaction with the locals is now simpler and often surprisingly candid.
