St Vincent & the Grenadines Description
The Caribbean islands of St Vincent and the Grenadines are untouched by mass tourism and offer an authentic Caribbean experience. Each of the 32 islands are volcanic with diverse scenery, from both black and white sand beaches to lush forests and picturesque waterfalls. The destination is well known as being one of the best sailing areas in the Caribbean.
Only 9 of the islands are inhabited, however it is easy to island hop between the islands. Combine the white sand beaches of the Grenadines with the lush, green volcanic island of St. Vincent or a visit to the La Soufriere Volcano.
St Vincent offers a range of activities for visitors. Spend lazy days on the beach, swimming and snorkelling in bright blue seas. Discover the island on a bus tour or head to beautiful secluded spots that can only be reached by boat. Those feeling adventurous on their holiday to St Vincent can hike to the top of the La Soufriere volcano.
The Grenadines are reputed to be home to the best sailing waters in the Caribbean and you can enjoy day trips to neighbouring islands to discover your own secluded cove. Other activities include non-motorised watersports, tennis and nature trails or simply bask in the sun and enjoy the delicious Caribbean food on offer.
Bequia is one of the 30 islands that make up the Grenadines and with its peaceful ambience and laid back way of life, you are bound to feel relaxed the minute you step ashore. This beautiful small island is a true tropical paradise, home to lush vegetation and an attractive coastline dotted with yachts. Relax on the quiet white sandy beaches or enjoy sailing trips to neighbouring islands.
Mustique is one of the smaller islands, but one of the best known thanks to its high-profile residents. It boasts nine pearly soft beaches and is an island of coastal contrasts; gentle Caribbean waters lapping the shoreline in one part, while dramatic seven-foot waves pound against ragged rocks further along the coast.
Palm Island's discrete location offers a true taste of paradise. One of the small islands that make up the Grenadines, Palm Island offers sandy white beaches, sparkling turquoise waters and a true feeling of relaxation.
