Hua Hin
Hua Hin was the first traditional Thai resort to be developed and still holds the charm of its humble beginnings as a fishing village. It can be reached by a three hour drive south of Bangkok or by a charter shuttle from Bangkok Airport to the small airstrip.
For those travelling from Bangkok by road, we suggest travelling via the floating market for a very authentic experience.
Ko Samet is a quieter alternative to Hua Hin, with the focus here more on seclusion than the shopping and nightlife, making it ideal for honeymooners. It can be reached by a two hour drive from Bangkok followed by 15 minute small speedboat transfer.
Weather is normally constant year round, however the mid-summer months tend to have slightly higher humidity levels. Also, due to the changes in global climate and the effects of these on tidal levels in the region, some of the beach resorts in Hua Hin can be particularly affected by unpredictable high tides and strong waves throughout the year.
