Trinidad is known as the museum city of the Caribbean and is probably the best preserved colonial city in Cuba. It is an historic city and a UNESCO World Heritage site, worthy of a few days exploration. Sites include the Farmer's House, Musuems, Casa de la Trova, Santa Ana Church and the Palace of Sanchez Iznaga.

It is also formerly one of the major centres of sugar production in Cuba with around 48 plantations still visible in the surrounding countryside. 15 minutes drive from Trinidad is Playa Ancon, a beautiful Caribbean beach, enabling you to enjoy both beach and culture in one location. A visit to the Topes de Collantes National Park offers pleasant walking trails.
