HOLIDAY TYPES
Wyoming Ranches
Peak Ranch Season: Mid May to Mid October
The least populated state in the USA is home to more wildlife than people. It is a place where there are still Cowboys and Indians living in the wild and open countryside.
Ranching, cattle drives and rodeos are just some of the many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed throughout this beautiful state. Other scenic highlights include Bighorn Canyon, Fossil Butte and the awesome Devil’s Tower. In Cody, the Buffalo Bill Historical Centre is a superb trio of museums and there is a nightly rodeo in the summer months. Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, also has rodeos in July during the Frontier Day festivities and there are other Wild West attractions year round.
Wyoming is home to Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park where thousands of thermal features can been witnessed. The park is not only renowned for its geological activity and Old Faithful geyser but also the varied nature and wildlife. Just to the south is the stunning Grand Teton National Park.
Extend your stay
Journey through the scenic byways of the Bighorn National Forest through to South Dakota in a hired car. Take in the rolling hills, the sheer mountain walls, the ancient glaciers and the many species of wildlife – most notably bighorn sheep, moose and mule deer. Enjoy your last night stay at the Presidents View Resort, which offers a panoramic view of Mt. Rushmore and easy access to the historic 1880 boardwalk.
