Travel Updates
Floods - Bangkok, Thailand (Updated 14 Nov 11)
We continue to monitor the situation with our ground agents and presently the city is now operating as normal. The FCO travel advice has also recently been amended and they no longer advise against travelling to many of the provinces initially affected by the floods, including the capital city Bangkok. Some remote provinces continue to be affected by the effects of the flooding, although water levels continue to recede.
The Foreign Office have issued the following amended travel advice:
The overall level of the advice has changed. We no longer advise against all but essential travel to the 22 provinces in Thailand (including Bangkok) identified by the Thai authorities as affected by flooding. We advise against all travel to the Preah Vihear and Ta Krabey/Ta Moan temple areas and against all but essential travel to the provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla.
