In our touring holidays, we can combine the main resort areas of Nusa Dua, Sanur, Seminyak and Jimbaran, with the quiet almost spiritual appeal of Manggis and the scenic splendour of Ubud in the north.

The best time for Bali holidays is generally between April and October, when rainfall is limited and the days are warm but not humid like the winter months. It is easy to combine your Bali holiday with other Far East destinations including Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, making it an ideal choice if you're looking for a multi-centre holiday. Within Bali itself we would suggest you visit more than one location, such as twinning cultural Ubud with one or two of the beach resorts, as each has its own personality.

Each of our luxury beach resorts in Bali are quite different in atmosphere. Seminyak boasts chic boutique shops, restaurants and nightlife, as well as a long, wide beach with a strong sea current making it great for surfing. Nusa Dua has a wonderful white sand beach and is home to many luxury hotels, a golf course and watersports. Sanur was the first "resort" in Bali and still mantains a village atmosphere. Jimbaran beach is in a secluded bay - ideal for safe swimming. The clusters of restaurants on the beach offer fresh fish for a toes-in-the-sand dining experience. The beaches on the east coast and northern coast are typically black volcanic sand and the resorts are less commercialised.

Bali is now rivalling Thailand as top spa destination of the Far East, with Balinese therapists renowned for their service and expertise. Almost every hotel has its own spa and the choice of treatments on offer is expansive. For a more holistic spa experience book one of the dedicated wellness programmes at Como Shambhala Estate in Ubud or choose the Discovery Path at Spa Village Tembok Bali.

A holiday to Bali is not complete without visiting Ubud. The cultural heart of the island, Ubud boasts ancient temples, art galleries and is the place to see traditional music and dance performances. The surrounding countryside of rolling paddy fields and local villages is best explored by bicycle. For the less active there's an abundance of spas and spiritual classes.

Lombok Lombok Beach / RetreatHoneymoonsMulti Centre

Less crowded and undeveloped; more natural and peaceful than neighbouring Bali, Lombok enjoys a more relaxed pace and some beautiful scenery. A day snorkelling the unspoilt coral reefs around the nearby Gili islands is a must. Bali is just 25 miles, a 40 minute flight away and Lombok is also easily accessible on Singapore Airlines directly from Singapore.

Why Go to Bali

Introduction

Holidays to Bali are guaranteed to astound the senses. This is a wonderful tropical island where the culture hits you in an instant and beautiful, romantic locations can be discovered at every turn. There are many lovely stretches of powder-soft, sandy beaches but the island has so much more to offer than just a beach getaway. With its diverse scenery, from cascading rice terraces and volcanoes to lush forest, ancient temples and rocky outcrops, the sightseeing opportunities are endless. It has been said that the locals have the widest and most spontaneous smiles in the region and their genuine hospitality is heart-warming.

Bali is home to some of the worlds most wonderfully designed luxury hotels each with their own unique features. For that extra sense of occasion on your Bali holiday, choose one of our luxury villa resorts – perfect for romantic breaks and honeymoons. In our programme we include the main resorts of Nusa Dua, Sanur, Seminyak and Jimbaran Bay, as well as the quiet, almost spiritual, appeal of Manggis and the scenic splendour of Ubud.Temperatures are constantly hot year round, although Ubud is at a higher elevation so it will be noticeably cooler, particularly at night. Bali is generally at its best from April through October, when rainfall is limited and the days are warm without the humidity experienced in the winter months.

Bali holidays can be easily combined with stays in either Hong Kong or Singapore. Equally you might want to consider combinations with Thailand or Malaysia. Despite increased services from all of the major gateway cities, demand still exceeds supply so early booking is essential.

A multi centre holiday within Bali is also highly recommended – make sure to combine some days on the beach with a stay in the island’s cultural heart, Ubud, to experience some true Balinese authenticity.
