Dubai-based Emirates is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world and has received more than 250 international awards for excellence since its launch in 1985. With the recent addition of new routes to the Seychelles they can now take you to 78 destinations in 55 countries in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Emirates offers professional, friendly, multilingual cabin crew drawn from more than 95 nationalities and will do everything they can to make you feel at home. All Emirates aircraft are equipped with a personal entertainment system in all classes. On Emirates B777 and A330 aircraft, passengers are provided with up to 18 TV channels and 22 audio channels. Passengers travelling in First or Business Class are offered a film library, with up to 50 titles to ensure there's always a favourite to watch on your in-seat personal video player.

Before You Fly - First and Business Class Chauffer
To make your journey a relaxing experience from start to finish, Emirates offer their First and Business Class passengers a complimentary personal airport transfer in a chauffeur-driven car - from home or hotel to the airport, and then again on arrival, to your ultimate destination.
Baggage Allowance
Certain airports, including Dubai International Airport, impose restrictions on carriage of baggage whereby no single piece of baggage may exceed 32 kilograms in weight. This however, does not affect the overall free baggage allowance per passenger. These restrictions enforced by either airport authorities or ground handling companies, aid in preventing injuries and ensure the safety of baggage handlers.
First Class
Two checked bags for which the length plus breadth plus height (L+B+H) must not exceed 45ins per bag. Baggage allowance 40kg per person.
Business Class
Two checked bags for which the length plus breadth plus height (L+B+H) must not exceed 45ins per bag. Maximum weight 30kg per person
Economy Class
Two checked bags for which the length plus breadth plus height (L+B+H) must not exceed 45ins per bag. Normal Maximum weight 20kg per person (28kg per person flying to Dubai only from London and Birmingham - please enquire for other domestic airports)
Infants are allowed 10kg of luggage regardless of class of travel, not exceeding 45ins
Dubai International Airport - Lounges
There are two Emirates lounges, First and Business Class, providing travellers with luxuries including spacious sitting rooms, massage chairs, guest bedrooms, and 42-inch plasma television screens. The Business Class lounge was extensively refurbished and upgraded last year, effectively doubling its size.
Inflight Dining
Emirates carefully plan their menus so that they complement and reflect the culinary delights on offer from all the different countries that we fly to. You will experience the very best in multi-cultural cuisine onboard because our menus are designed by highly skilled chefs of international repute. Every meal is accompanied by a superb variety of soft drinks and wine selected by the Masters of Wine Guild from the UK.
Inflight Entertainment
15 video channels, containing 14 new movies, 3 classic films and a variety of specially selected TV programmes, can all be found on Emirates inflight entertainment. If you prefer listening rather than watching, they offer 26 audio channels with music from around the world as well as interviews, comedies and audio books or sit back, relax and enjoy a bird’s eye view of take off and landing, with our flying cameras and enjoy the extraordinary sight of the world’s scenery from 35,000 feet.
Emirates Fleet
EMIRATES Boeing 777-300 ER
Boeing 777-200/300 - One of the largest aircraft in their fleet, the B777-200 comfortably accommodates 18 First Class, 49 Business Class and 236 Economy Class passengers, carrying a total of 303 passengers. A second configuration offers 42 Business Class seats and 304 Economy Class passengers, allowing for a total of 346 passengers. These aircraft are currently being updated to provide greater comfort and a new 500 channel entertainment system. The B777-300, the largest member of the Emirates fleet, can carry a total of 434 passengers, with 49 Business Class seats and 385 Economy seats.
Economy - Boeing 777s have enabled Emirates to bring an even higher standards of comfort, facilities and service to Economy Class travel. Well designed cabins with more space between seats, extra-large storage lockers for carry-on baggage, superb five-course meals, complimentary drinks and outstanding inflight entertainment all combine to make flights on Emirates even more comfortable and enjoyable. The comfortable, contoured seats with individual footrests are set in a 3-4-3 configuration with a recline of 16.5 cm (6.54 inches) and up to 84 centimetres (33 inches) between rows. Each seat back contains a high definition 16.5cm (6.5 inches) screen on which to enjoy the 15 TV, 22 audio and 18 interactive games channels, and a personal satellite phone.
Business Class - Every aspect of Emirates Business Class has been designed to ensure the complete comfort of our executive passengers. Emirates provide a host of amenities so that – whether you need to work or choose to relax – you will arrive refreshed and ready for business. Four multi-lingual cabin crew will be on hand to serve you a welcoming glass of champagne before take-off and to take care of you throughout the flight. The Business Class sleeperette seats are in a 2-3-2 configuration with a recline of 29 centimetres (11.5 inches). There is plenty of room to spread out and work – or to simply stretch out, with seat rows spaced a generous 1.17 metres (47 inches) apart. The seat’s footrest and lumbar support are controlled electronically and there is an adjustable winged-headrest. If flying overnight, you will receive a complimentary amenity kit containing everything you need to arrive refreshed.
Throughout the flight cabin crew will offer an extensive selection of complimentary drinks and canapés prior to serving you with a delicious six-course meal. For the benefit of Emirates frequent business travellers, menus are changed regularly.
Emirates inflight entertainment systems gives you 15 TV, 22 audio and 18 interactive games channels, and is complimented by a personal video system with a library of more than 40 films. To help you stay in touch, each seat has a personal satellite phone, while a central fax machine and laptop recharging points are available within the cabin.
First Class - The spacious First Class cabin on board the Emirates’ Boeing 777 provides unmatched personal comfort in elegant surroundings, and offers passengers the highest standards of luxury and service. With four cabin crew allocated exclusively to First Class, passengers are sure of receiving discreet, attentive service throughout their journey. The cabin has 18 spacious sleeper seats, separated by wide aisles in a 2-2-2 configuration. Ample wardrobe and overhead locker space provide space to safely store away all your personal belonging. On overnight flights, our cabin crew will provide you with a complimentary amenity kit containing a collection of branded luxury items. Emirates First Class seats are pitched 1.6 meters (62 inches) apart, with a seat recline of 36 centimetres (13.9 inches). The lumbar support and leg-rest can be adjusted electronically while the headrest is fully adjustable allowing you to find your own personal comfort zone. The seats also feature privacy hoods, individual reading lamps and personal swivel tables.
Emirates’ seven course First Class meals are individually prepared by master chefs and are accompanied by an extensive range of award-winning wines, which are carefully selected by their sommeliers. Complimentary drinks, including champagne, are offered throughout the flight, and a selection of hot and cold canapés are severed between meals. Fresh speciality teas and coffees will be served at your request, and hot chocolate, Horlicks and Ovaltine are available to help you drift off.
To keep you entertained, Emirates inflight offers a choice of 15 TV, 22 audio and 18 interactive games channels. In First Class, you can also a library of over 40 films to watch on your large (26.4cm or 10.4 inches) personal high definition screen. If you need to stay in touch while in the air, there is a personal satellite phone in each seat, plus a central fax machine and laptop recharging points.
EMIRATES A330 - 200 - The quietest cabins in the sky, designed to encourage privacy and a feeling of spaciousness.
Economy - As above but seats are set in a 2-4-2 configuration with a recline of 16.5 cm (6.54 inches) and up to 81 centimetres (32 inches) between rows.
Business - As above but the sleeperette seats are in a 2-3-2 configuration with a recline of 29 centimetres (11.5 inches). There is plenty of room to spread out and work – or to simply stretch out, with seat rows spaced a generous 1.52 metres (60 inches) apart. The seat’s footrest and lumbar support are controlled electronically and there is an adjustable winged-headrest. If flying overnight, you will receive a complimentary amenity kit containing everything you need to arrive refreshed.
First Class - As Above but offering 12 spacious sleeper seats, separated by wide aisles in a 2-2-2 configuration. Ample wardrobe and overhead locker space provide space to safely store away all your personal belonging. First Class seats are pitched 1.8 meters (72 inches) apart, with a seat recline of 36 centimetres (13.9 inches).
A340 - 300 - more info - Similar in many respects to the Airbus A330-200s but equipped with four engines giving a much enhanced range, these new aircraft seat up to 12 people in First, 42 in Business and 213 in Economy.
Economy - Quiet, spacious cabins with plenty of large storage lockers for carry-on baggage, superb meals and outstanding inflight entertainment all combine to make flying with Emirates even more comfortable. Newly designed, contoured seats are set in 2-4-2 and 2-4-3 configurations with a recline of 15 centimetres (6 inches) and no less than 81 centimetres (32 inches) between rows. Each seat back contains a high definition 16.5cm (6.5 inches) screen on which to enjoy the 15 TV, 22 audio and 18 interactive games channels, and a personal satellite phone.
Business Class - Business Class passengers enjoy the friendly, courteous service of dedicated cabin crew throughout the flight, with four of them dedicated exclusively to Business Class. The cabin’s large sleeperette seats are arranged in 2-3-2 configuration and can be reclined up to 28 centimetres (11 inches). The wide 1.52 metre (60 inches) aisles offer ample space for you to comfortably move around the cabin, or to simply stretch out and relax. Throughout the flight our cabin crew will offer an extensive selection of complimentary drinks and canapés prior to serving you with a delicious six-course meal. For the benefit of our frequent business travelers, our menus are changed regularly.
First Class - As above but the spacious First Class cabin has just 12 spacious sleeper seats separated by wide aisles, set in a 2-2-2 configuration. The seats are pitched 2.2 metres (86 inches) apart, and can be reclined up to 38 centimetres (18 inches)
EMIRATES A340-500 - The new Emirates Airbus A340-500 is the first of a new generation of passenger airliners. It is designed to offer you the most comfortable and enjoyable journey available today - in whichever class you travel. It offers you more personal space, a quieter cabin and a wider range of inflight entertainment than ever before.

Economy - Emirates economy class has always been renowned for being one of the best in the sky and with their introduction of the new A340-500 their commitment to Economy excellence is taken to new heights. They have totally redesigned the economy class cabin, producing a more restful, relaxing environment. The seat layout is 2 - 4 - 2 (as opposed to the tradiional 3 - 4 - 3) which means more space and more privacy. The seats are more wider and more comfortable and come with a personal 10-inch video screen on which you can enjoy more than 500 channels of entertainment (including movies on demand – another first for Emirates Economy Class). The Economy Class seat delivers an unusually high level of comfort. Wider, and with more leg room plus the option to extend the seat by 6 centimetres, it allows you to really stretch out – and a generous recline makes it easier to find your own personal comfort zone
Business Class - A business class cabin that offers you more personal space, while at the same time reducing in flight noise to the lowest level everdelivers an uncommon degree of comfort and privacy (even, if you choose, a relaxing massage). And an entertainment system that will keep you enthralled on even the longest flight. Add to this their award-winning service and superb dining and the result is that, more than ever before, flying Business becomes a pleasure.

First Class - Finished in fine leather and genuine walnut, with subtle gold accents, the First Class cabin exudes refined comfort. Its twelve suites are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration for maximum privacy and an uncommon degree of space. By removing the overhead storage lockers, Emirates have increased the available headroom to allow even taller passengers to comfortably stand and move about the cabin with ease – perhaps to visit the full-size stand-up bar – and in their place, each suite is equipped with generous storage space. The A340 is already the quietest large passenger aircraft in service. To ensure your complete comfort, the First Class cabin is insulated to reduce noise levels even further. The cabin's advanced lighting system has been designed to further increase your comfort, replicating natural light as closely as possible and to ensure that the elegance of your surroundings are matched by the efficiency of service that you receive, the First Class cabin is serviced by the highest ratio of crew-to-passengers of any airline.
From the supreme comfort of your leather seat, which at the press of a button can be converted to a fully-flat bed, everything you might need is within your reach. An advanced hand-held mode controller allows you to personalise your experience, from ordering a meal to selecting a movie. A personal mini-bar is on hand should you require refreshment. While for refreshment of a different kind, there is even an inbuilt vanity stand with illuminated mirror. Mode controllers also allows you to close the doors to your suite, and to raise and lower a privacy screen to separate your from your fellow travellers.
