On arrival in the morning, you will be met and transferred to the Alvear Place, situated in the Recoleta District of the city. Stay here for 3 nights in a Junior Suite. The rest of the day is free to relax after your flight.

In the morning, you will take an introductory tour of Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city that bears the influences of European immigration that formed it. The tour starts in the historic Plaza de Mayo, which is surrounded by the Government House, also known as the ‘Pink House’; the Cabildo and the cathedral. The visit continues towards San Telmo, one of the oldest districts of the city and where you will find a number of colonial houses and cobbled streets.

Continue to the picturesque and colourful port neighbourhood of La Boca with its famous and well-photographed street, ‘Caminito’. Afterwards, travel across the city, passing the re-generated Puerto Madero district with its many restaurants to Palermo. In this district, you will find large open spaces as well as elegant residences. Finally, stop at Recoleta, perhaps the most sophisticated neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. In the cemetery here lie the remains of Eva Perón.

The day is free, with some optional tours to choose from. Alternatively explore the Sunday markets of Buenos Aires; the Recoleta District has a flea market but the most famous market is in the historic San Telmo District, which revels in a ‘Covent Garden’ type atmosphere, where street artists perform, and couples dance the tango.

In the evening, watch the professional Tango Dancers perform, in a spectacular show with dinner, at an intimate venue – the perfect way to sign off your visit to this great city.

After a leisurely breakfast, in the late morning, transfer to the airport for your non-stop flight back to London with British Airways.
