Lamanai Outpost Lodge 



Lamanai Lodge is situated on the banks of Lamanai Lagoon and just yards from the famous Lamanai Archaeology Site. Access to the lodge is normally by a tranquil river boat ride where guests can enjoy viewing the local wildlife as they travel.

The lodge has 18 cabanas of different categories and a restaurant and bar. The lodge operates an all inclusive system where guests can choose and sign up for the tours they wish to go on each day. Specialist bird watching tours are available. This is a great lodge for couples, families and small groups interested in nature and wildlife.

About Belize

Located in the northeastern corner of Central America, Belize has some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in the Caribbean. From the magnificent landscapes to the beautiful wildlife, it is easy to see why the number of visitors here increases every year.

The territory is compromised marginally more by sea than land, which is a main attraction for many visitors.

The rich tropical forest supports a range of wildlife as well.

The restaurants of Belize serve some of the finest delicacy dishes in the world. The palette of the cuisine is influenced by Chinese, Latin American, and Creole tastes. Popular food includes split peas and pigtail over rice, beans, and other meat dishes.


Specialty juices made from fruits such as orange, watermelon, and lime are served as beverages.
 

The entertainment of Belize enables visitors to explore the culture and make the most of their visit. Such popular features include nightclubbing, shopping, and tasting fine delicacies at local restaurants.

There is no visa requirement to enter Belize.

The electric current of Belize is 110 volts, identical to the United States.

Belize is a reasonable safe country although petty theft and pickpocketing are common. As it all travel destinations, you should be advised to safe keep your belongings and remain aware of your surroundings, especially in large crowds.
 

The height of Belize’s tourism season runs from late November to late April and is considered the dry season.

The weather is subtropical in general, similar to that in southern Florida.


The rainy season runs from June to mid-November while the hurricane season runs from July to October which also brings potential of hurricanes.
 

It is recommended that travellers ensure their Tetanus and Polio vaccines are up do date prior to travel.

The flying time from the UK is 10.5 hours.

English is the official language of Belize but most locals also speak Creole fluently.

The official currency is the Belize Dollar.

The time difference is GMT -7 hours.
