The Mena House Oberoi is set in 40 acres of gardens just 700 metres from the Great Pyramids of Giza and is one of Egypt’s most luxurious and historic hotels.
The hotel combines the best of the old and new with its arabesque design and all the modern conveniences you would expect from a top-class hotel.
The Mena House Oberoi newly built outdoor swimming pool set in landscaped gardens with fabulous views of the Pyramids. There are a varitey of international as well as Egyptian cuisine available at the restaurants within the resort. While the Lounge bar offers panoramic views of the Pyramids. The Mena House also offers a mini gym, beauty salon (payable locally), travel and tour desk, golf course that adjoins the hotel (paybale local), and horse and camel riding which are fun ways to visiting the Pyramids (payable locally).
Renovation of all the rooms (328 rooms including 3 suites) in the Garden Wing is now complete. Guests have enjoyed the new product and commented positively on the clean design and user friendly facilities and service.
The Alfredo restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with a menu offering traditional Italian food served in a contemporary environment.

Just back and thought it might be helpful to give feedback.
1. Your info and organisation of booking holiday and sending out documents was great – thanks.
2. Transfer arrangements organised by your partners in Egypt, Marhaba, were the best ever – so helpful and efficient it was not true...we made a point of telling them so. Never had so much help and things made so easy. Hope you can also feed this back to the bosses of the individuals who helped us.
3. Hotels...........Mena House Oberoi was faultless in every way....even asked to pay for an upgrade to a pyramid view for our guest companions and they gave us both fabulous top floor view rooms at no extra charge.........the Winter Palace was a magnificent ‘showy’ hotel where service only sporadically met its pretentions....given the cost they should be concerned....I am sure this was NOT your choice of hotel, but ours (based on recommendations made to us), and we would not recommend it on our experience!!

There are many highlights to Sharm el Sheikh, the Red Sea for one, is incredibly marine rich and a perfect spot for both snorkelers and professional divers to explore. While snorkelling just a few metres from the shore, I spotted some clown fish, stripey angel fish and virtually the whole cast of Finding Nemo!

For some light entertainment and shopping, head down to the bustling hub of Na'ama Bay, for a great variety of restaurants, souvenir shops and bars offering cocktails and traditional Egyptian shisha. Sharm also has one of the most impressive kids clubs, my fav by far, was the Hyatt Regency’s. The facilities include a stunning beach, canopied paddling pool, indoor play area, outside climbing frame and a play-station room.
While the kids enjoy themselves, the adults can have their own fun at the fabulous Souk area by joining the belly dancers and musicians on stage while dining from a wide selection of freshly made international cuisine.

Dhiren ShahI thought the Hyatt Regency in Egypt was lovely, it had beautiful grounds, numerous pools and even a waterslide! The luxurious resort also has an area called the 'Club Area' which is more separate to the rest of the hotel, with its own pool and restaurant, making it ideal for a romantic getaway.
