Baros Maldives
This little gem of an island is located in the North Male Atoll, just 25 minutes by luxury speedboat from Male airport. The warm welcome from the friendly, professional staff complements the elegant accommodation in detached thatched villas nestling amongst greenery opening to the white sandy beach facing the sunrise or sunset, or standing over the lagoon. Although the island is relatively small there are three a la carte restaurants to dine in as well as private dining options – all featuring gourmet cuisine. This has to be one of the most romantic islands in the Maldives, offering barefoot luxury, discreet service and a stunning setting.
Notes: Only children over 8 years old are accepted in the resort.

The Chedi Muscat
One of the regions most acclaimed hotels, highly regarded for its simple yet elegant style, combining the influences of Arabia with Asia.
The Chedi Muscat is located on a “private“stretch of beach, just 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Muscat – ideal for sightseeing and alternative restaurants.
Each of the 156 rooms and suites are designed in a bright, rather minimalist style, clean and uncluttered. The Serai Superior Rooms are located in the three storey main building with either mountain or sea facing view. These are a little on the compact side and are probably best used for a shorter stay. We would recommend upgrading to the larger Chedi Deluxe Rooms, which are scattered amongst the one and two storey blocks, pocketed by ornate ponds.
The Chedi Club Suites are furthest away from the lobby and are reached by a series of garden pathways. They are either in single storey or two storey blocks and Club Suite guests benefit from extra Club facilities.
Resort facilities at The Chedi Muscat include a main restaurant plus a beachfront alternative, both of which offer mouthwatering food, spa, beachfront gym and two swimming pools - one in the tropical gardens with intermittent shading and the other at the beachfront for adults only. The hotel is adult oriented. Children are accepted but limited during peak demand periods.

Baros Premium Pool Villas
Baros Premium Pool Villas (160 sq m) are located on a secluded beach for blissful exclusivity, shielded by lush tropical foliage, with an outdoor, lagoon-side Jacuzzi for two as well as an infinity-edged plunge pool (3.4m x 2.4m) and have panoramic ocean views and own beach area with parasol and loungers. an open air wooden deck furnished with double day bed, dining table and chairs, and beanie bag comforters. A dedicated villa host is on call 24 hours a day.

The Baros Residence (268 sq m) is the most exclusive and romantic accommodation, being a large villa with separate living room, large walled garden with pool (7mx3m), large front deck leading to the private beach area. It also benefits from butler service on call 24 hours a day.

Erica MooreOman is a great mix of Arabic culture, deluxe hotels, great beaches, and strange moon-like landscapes with the odd camel thrown in for good measure! This fantastic country has something for everyone including beautiful romantic luxurious hotels for honeymooners and fantastic kids clubs for families with children of all ages. In addition to the pools and beaches, Oman is very proud of its culture and heritage and the museums, Grand Mosque and souks here are fascinating.
One of my favourites, a real feast for the senses and not to be missed, is a trip out to the desert, perhaps with a stay at a luxury desert camp included. Here you have the opportunity to do some dune bashing, quad-bike riding and camel riding or you can just sit back and enjoy the beauty of Oman's desert landscape.
