Las Lomas within La Manga Club is a fantastic resort located in the Murcia region of Spain.
Spread over 1400 acres, not only does it offer guests luxurious accommodation and superb restaurants, but an array of sporting facilities, making it an ideal active holiday resort.
Built in the style of a Spanish Pueblo, the four star Las Lomas Village is perfect for those seeking the privacy of their own apartment with all the trappings of the top class resort. Within the Village is an Italian restaurant, an ice and coffee house, a smallish outdoor pool, a second larger pool with mini golf, a pool bar, a deli café and a Chinese restaurant.
The resort boasts numerous sports facilities. La Manga Club is considered one of Europe's finest golfing resorts, proven by hosting such prestigious events as the Davis Cup, with three golf courses. The 28 tennis courts most of which are floodlit, come in a choice of clay, artificial grass and hard surfaces. The Insotel Punta Prima in Menorca has a lovely spa, with large indoor pool and a Jacuzzi with large windows looking out over the resort.

I would highly recommend staying in the Club Rooms at La Manga Club, Costa Calida. If you are lucky enough you may bump into ex Formula One driver Nigel Mansell like I did! As he is a regular guest and golfer at the hotel.
I enjoyed eating at the Amapola Restaurant, here they served the regional favourite; vegetable paella and it was yummy! If you enjoy live music, then spend your post dinner time at the Piano Bar, where there’s a handsome guy singing both Spanish and international songs whilst you relax with a cocktail in this chic setting.
