Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket is one of the most established resort hotels on the island, offering a combination of Thai style architecture and a high level of resort comfort and facilities.

Located within the Laguna resort, the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket resort benefits from having access to Bang Tao Bay beach and being just 30 minutes transfer from Phuket Airport.  The property is situated within the Laguna area which is an all encompassing resort offering excellent facilities, beach access, multiple swimming pools and dinning options.

The Dusit Thani Laguna itself is nestled amidst acres of tropical gardens giving guests an idyllic retreat atmosphere. The main building consists of a low-rise building in modern Thai style architecture, offering a choice of 254 superbly appointed guest rooms, suites and villas with private balconies overlooking either the ocean or the hotels' peaceful lagoon. All rooms come with air conditioning as standard, whilst the newer Dusit Thani Pool Villas have two bedrooms with a Jacuzzi and private pool on the rooftop (ideal for families or those requiring extra space and privacy).

Facilities include the swimming pool, tennis court, five exotic dining outlets within the hotel itself, including; La Trattoria (Italian) and the Ruen Thai restaurant, which has one of the best reputations on Phuket.

Our holiday was totally enjoyable and excellent in every way. We do appreciate the helpful and efficient service received from Western & Oriental in putting together our tailor-made package. All three hotels were wonderful in their own way. Anantara was lovely and we really enjoyed Hua Hin, Bangkok was amazing and unforgettable (Wat Phra Kaeo during the day, Terrace Rim Nam at the Mandarin Oriental at night), and the highlight of Dusit Thani apart from the glorious sea was the Ruen Thai restaurant where we dined twice and could see from our balcony overlooking the lagoon.

The only slightly negative point, surprisingly, was that we wanted to try dining at the Banyan Tree, being the 'top hotel' at Laguna, but our meal at the Saffron was disappointing, nowhere near the quality and atmosphere of the Ruen Thai. The transfers were efficient and pleasant, and we received very good advice from the Asia World rep at Dusit Thani.

We shall probably go to Thailand again, and will certainly consider using Western & Oriental again to make our holiday plans a reality.

As each of the room categories suggests, each room type differs from location and view type within the hotel, with the Deluxe Ocean Front rooms particularly recommended. Deluxe Rooms can accommodation an additional rollaway bed and are also available in Interconnecting rooms of the same category.
