Accommodation Description

Bar W Ranch is nestled at the base of Spencer Mountain at Spencer Lake in Whitefish, between two pine covered ridges surrounded by 2,900 acres of state land, near the gateway to Glacier National Park and is open all year round.

The riding is exceptional, covering the mountainous terrain surrounding the ranch, the foothill country of the Rocky Mountain Front Range and the wide open prairie of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Riders can enjoy lessons and all day rides with faster riding in the foothills, team penning, sorting, branding and roping lessons.

The ranch caters for children, trail riding age limit is 7yrs old and under 7's can take pony rides in the arena. The ranch provides a counselor who will take them swimming, fishing and trips to Big Mountain Ski and Summer Resort.

Bar W ranch also organises adult only weeks, women only weeks and 2 cattle drives a year (May and September).

Bar W Ranch Room Details

The Aspen Suite
This suite has a king size bed, Jacuzzi, separate deck and attached bedroom with bunk beds. There is also a television.
The Solitude
The Solitude is ideal for group or large family holidays and can sleep up to 6 persons. There is a queen bed and 2 wooden futons.
The Whitetail
This room sleeps 2 people with space for 2 more on a futon and it is a favourite for wedding guests because of its amazing view and walk-in closet.
Other Rooms
The Tamarack is for 2 people and has a half bath across the floor from it and a full bathroom is located downstairs. The Appaloosa also is for 2 people and a full bathroom is located across the hall from it. The Sunroom sleeps 8 persons; it has 1 main bedroom and an attached 1too with bunkbeds and 2 futons.
The Cabin
There are two suites in the cabin which are designed by the Amish. The Eagles Nest has 1 bedroom, a sleeping loft with 2 futons, a sitting area with 2 futons and a kitchenette. The Bear Den (sleeps 6) has 1 bedroom, a sitting area with 2 futons and a kitchenette. Both have decks with views of the forest.
