Completely refurbished last year, Sugar Beach is on the west coast of Mauritius, an hour from the airport and close to the resort of Flic en Flac, which offers a selection of bars and restaurants. Set amongst 12 hectares of tropical gardens, on over half a kilometre of beach, the resort is centred around a grand Manor House which is reminiscent of a colonial plantation house.
The 258 rooms at Sugar Beach are furnished to complement the overall plantation theme of the property and are located in the main house or in 16 villas which are dotted throughout the gardens. Standard Rooms are on the first floor; Superior Rooms are on the ground floor. Family Units are comprised of two interconnecting rooms and can accommodate two adults and up to three children.
All Inclusive at Sugar Beach is a popular option and good value for money. All-Inclusive guests get preferential golf rates and discount at the spa, and the resort offers several restaurants and bars from which to choose. There are two swimming pools - one with a children's area and a quieter adult pool, a wide array of land and water sports including mountain biking and horse riding, a spa, kid's club and teen's club.
