Growing up in Kathmandu, Amit developed a passion for the great outdoors. After finishing his university degree in Nepal in Travel and Tourism management and a short stint learning Canyoning and rafting he started as a tour leader in India, Nepal and Tibet before he moved to the UK and has been working for the luxury travel market for the last 7 years.
His most favourite moments in the Indian Subcontinent were searching for Leopards in Southern Rajasthan with the local landlord and being allowed to “sail” a houseboat on the backwaters of Kerala. But it is Nepal that he misses the most; with sublime scenery, time-worn temples and some of the best hiking on earth.
Amit has also travelled other parts of the world and his other favourite moments were meeting the Samburu in Kenya and walking among the ancient tombs in Petra, Jordan and having tea with a Nubian man on the banks of the Nile in Aswan,to name a few.
