The tour continues to Mendoza Argentina’s premier wine-producing region, the mighty Iguazu Falls, the colourful beaches of Buzios and the vibrant and enticing city of Rio de Janeiro.

Itinerary

Day 1

London to Argentina

Depart London Heathrow via British Airways overnight flight to Buenos Aires.
Day 2

Buenos Aires

Met on arrival and transferred to the spectacular Faena Hotel for three nights accommodation including breakfast.

Located in the fashionable Puerto Madero district and designed by Philippe Starck the Faena is based on the romantic era of the Belle Époque whilst providing ultra modern facilities and luxurious comfort.

Days 3 - 4
At leisure to explore this fascinating city with its wide boulevards, opulent baroque architecture, plazas and fountains and the stunning opera house, the Teatro Colón. Visit art galleries, antique markets and fashionable boutiques, sip coffee at one of the elegant side walk cafes and dine on prime Argentine beef. A visit to Buenos Aires would not be complete without a visit to a tango show – certainly Esquina Carlos Gardel is one of the finest.
Day 5

Mendoza

Transferred to Buenos Aires Aeroparque (Domestic Airport) for onward flight to Mendoza, met on arrival and transferred to the Cavas Wine Lodge for three nights including breakfast.

This luxurious property nestled in a 35 acre vineyard is located among some of the most prestigious wineries in Argentina and set against a backdrop of the snow-capped Andean Mountain range.

Days 6 - 7
Explore the many local vineyards and the opportunity to enjoy and savour some of Argentina’s finest wines.
Day 8

Iguazu Falls

Transferred to Mendoza Airport for onward flight to Iguazu Falls via Buenos Aires.

Met on arrival and transferred to Das Cataratas for two nights including breakfast.

Das Cataratas is the only hotel situated within the National Park on the Brazilian side of the Falls. Owned and operated by Orient Express this exquisite hotel has been completely refurbished to the highest standard to create a luxurious retreat in this magical area.

Day 9
Full day private tour visiting both the Brazilian and Argentine side of the Falls - certainly a must on a trip to South America.
Day 10

Rio de Janeiro

Transferred to Foz do Iguassu Airport for onward flight to Rio de Janeiro. Met on arrival and transferred to the Copacabana Palace, probably South America’s most famous hotel. Stay for three nights including breakfast.

The celebrated Copacabana overlooks Copacabana Beach and has played host to royalty, film stars and the music world and it is still the hotel of choice in this vibrant city.

Days 11 - 12
Rio has no shortage of sightseeing to offer; certainly Corcovado Mountain with its statue of Christ the Redeemer dominates the skyline and Sugar Loaf Mountain is a must with its breathtaking panoramic views. For a special romantic evening dine at the Copacabana Palace’s elegant Cipriani Restaurant rated among the city's best and patronised by Rio’s jet set.
Day 13

Buzios

Transferred by private car to Buzios and the divine Casa Brancas for four nights including breakfast.

Just a two hour journey from Rio Buzios, was first made fashionable by Brigitte Bardot in the 60’s. Chic and trendy and known as the San Tropez of South America the ‘in’ place to stay is the very lovely Casas Brancas - a boutique hotel located in the heart of town overlooking the ocean.

Days 14 - 16
Buzios offers a choice of over 20 unspoilt beaches, with such magical names as Azeda Beach which can only be reached by foot. João Fernandinho with its calm crystal waters where you can pass the day feasting on locally caught fish and Geribá Beach, frequented by the beautiful people!
Day 17
Transferred to Rio de Janeiro Airport for return British Airways overnight flight to London
Day 18

Arrive back in the UK
