This is a great trip combining the fabulous city of Rio de Janeiro with its iconic landmarks and famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches with the tropical lush surroundings of the mighty waterfalls at Iguacu on the border with Argentina and Paraguay.

Then return to Rio to journey just a few hours north to relax at a nearby beach resort before returning home. A great introduction to beautiful Brazil, staying at the country's top deluxe hotels, some of which are iconic national landmarks.

Itinerary

Day 1

Depart the UK

Flight from the UK overnight to the spectacular city of Rio de Janeiro, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 2

Arrive in Brazil

Transfer in Rio de Janeiro to the famous Orient Express Hotel - The Copacabana Palace - overlooking the beach of the same name.
Day 3

Tour of Rio de Janeiro

Full day tour to the Statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Peak via Tijuca forest and by cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain for panoramic views of the city.
Day 4

Day at Leisure to Explore Rio de Janeiro

Free day to explore the city of Rio de Janeiro or relax on its famous beaches.
Day 5

Travel to Iguassu Falls

Fly from Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls and transfer to the newly remodelled Orient Express Hotel Das Cataratas, next to the Falls on the Brazilian side of the border and the only hotel within the Brazilian National Park.
Day 6

Tour of Iguassu Falls

Full day tour to the viewpoints & walkways of the Argentine side of the Iguassu Falls.
Day 7

Travel to Buzios

Fly back to Rio and transfer by road north to Pousada Casas Brancas in the pretty resort of Buzios, surrounded by numerous beaches.
Day 8

Day at Leisure

Free time to relax in Buzios. Explore nearby beaches, coves and restaurants.
Day 9

Day at Leisure

Explore the Buzios area and all it has to offer at your own pace.
