UK to Rwanda

Depart from London Heathrow on the Kenya Airways overnight flight to Nairobi.

Rwanda

Arrive in Nairobi and transfer onto the Kenya Airways flight to Kigali. On arrival in Kigali, you will be met by your driver and travel to Musanze at Parc National des Volcans. Stay 2 nights at Gorilla Mountain View Lodge, all meals included (drive time approx 2½ hours).

If you prefer, you can take a tour of Kigali and have lunch before you set off for Musanze (at extra cost).

Gorilla Trek

Make an early start for the Parc National des Volcans, where you will do your first gorilla trek. You are met by staff from ORTPN Park Headquarters at 07h00 and briefed on conduct during gorilla tracking. The trackers then lead you into the forested slopes to seek one of the groups of Mountain gorillas. Reaching the gorillas can be quick, or it can take a few hours - dependant upon the Gorilla's movements and the weather. it is worth noting that it can be very hot or could possibly be teeming with rain...
Either way if you find the group you will be in for one of the most exciting wildlife encounters in the world today!

Return for lunch at the Gorilla Mountain View and, in the afternoon, visit the panoramic twin volcanic lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Gorilla Trek

An opportunity to do a further trek is available today - it's worth noting that you won't always find the gorilla group on a trek, hence we recommend booking two treks.

In the afternoon, travel to Kigali to stay overnight at Chez Lando, all meals included. .

Nairobi

Depart on the Kenya Airways flight to Nairobi, where you overnight at the Palacina Hotel, breakfast included.

Masai Mara

Transfer by light aircraft to the Masai Mara Game Reserve to stay 3 nights at Kicheche Mara Camp, all meals & game viewing activities included.

Masai Mara

Up to three game activities per day allow you to discover the Masai Mara and its extraordinarily rich wildlife. These will be in 4x4 vehicles or walking with an expert Masai guide.

Zanzibar - Stone Town

Transfer by light aircarft to Nairobi for the Kenya Airways flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will be transferred to historical Stone Town. Stay one night at Zanzibar Palace.

Transfer to the fabulous Matemwe Beach Village to spend 5 nights in a Kijiji room, breakfast and dinner included.

Fly back to the UK

You will be transferred to the airport for the Kenya Airways flight via Nairobi to London Heathrow
